Hauraki Gulf Islands

Surrounded by rich fishing grounds and teeming with unique birds, plants and animals, the safe havens of the Hauraki Gulf are natural and national treasure houses. They fall into three main categories: accessible, inner recreational islands; outer conservation islands; and intensively managed mainland areas, such as regional parks.

Beehive

Resembles a tiny tropical island with white sand and pine trees with excellent snorkelling.

Browns Island

Known as Motukorea, it is a perfectly preserved vocanic system in miniature.

Great Barrier
